Terms of Use
Clear terms for using IPGlance.
These terms define permitted use of the website, the nature of its browser and network results, and the responsibilities that remain with each visitor.
Effective: October 28, 2026IPGlance provides informational checks based on signals available from the current browser, network connection, and selected data providers. It does not provide an identity-verification, emergency-location, legal, or cybersecurity certification service.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing or using IPGlance, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You are responsible for ensuring that your use is lawful in your location and that you have authority to use the device and network being checked.
2. What the service provides
IPGlance may display a public IP address, approximate network location, provider and ASN information, browser identity, operating-system estimate, screen and viewport values, feature support, connection context, domain information, and privacy-related browser signals.
Features may change, be interrupted, or become unavailable without notice. Some checks depend on browser permissions, JavaScript, external data sources, network conditions, and third-party infrastructure.
3. Acceptable use
You may use IPGlance for personal, educational, diagnostic, and legitimate organizational purposes. You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, bypass, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the website or its infrastructure.
- Use automated requests in a manner that imposes unreasonable load or ignores access controls.
- Submit malicious code, deceptive reports, spam, or content that violates another person’s rights.
- Use a result to impersonate, harass, track, discriminate against, or make unsupported claims about another person.
- Copy or reproduce substantial parts of the site, branding, interface, or original explanatory content without permission.
4. Accuracy and proper interpretation
Results are observations or estimates produced from the information available at the time of the check. IP-based location can reflect an ISP hub, mobile gateway, workplace, hosting provider, proxy, or VPN server. Browser and device detection can be generalized or altered by privacy controls, compatibility modes, remote browsing, and reduced user-agent information.
You must not rely on IPGlance as sole evidence of identity, residence, ownership, physical location, legal jurisdiction, device security, or network safety. Important decisions should be verified through appropriate authoritative sources and professional methods.
5. Content and intellectual property
The IPGlance name, original interface, visual presentation, written explanations, and site-specific code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party names, map data, software libraries, and service marks remain the property of their respective owners.
Normal linking to public pages is permitted. Limited quotation may be allowed where law permits and proper attribution is provided. These terms do not transfer ownership of any part of the service.
6. Third-party services and links
The website may request data or assets from independent providers and may link to external resources. IPGlance does not control their availability, security, accuracy, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s terms.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of responsibility
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, no guarantee is made that every result will be uninterrupted, current, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose.
IPGlance is not responsible for losses resulting from misuse of a result, unsupported identity or location assumptions, third-party outages, browser restrictions, network changes, or decisions made without independent verification. Nothing in these terms excludes a responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Suspension, changes, and contact
Access may be limited when necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or maintain infrastructure. These terms may be updated when features or requirements change. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their stated effective date.
Questions about these terms can be sent through the Contact page.
